The burning issue

The Legal Marketing team is keen to maintain the high standard of content to ensure the magazine becomes a vital part of your everyday marketing toolkit.

Fundamental to achieving this goal are the knowledge-sharing opportunities that arise through article contributions from you, the subscriber. For that reason, we would like to introduce a regular opportunity for you to send in questions and discuss issues with your colleagues at other law firms in the UK, US and the rest of Europe.

In this issue, a reader has sent in the following query for discussion:

My burning issue relates to our matrimonial/family department. We are steadily moving away from legal-aid work, to concentrate more on targeting high-net-worth private clients.

Given this is an extremely diverse sector, how have others successfully targeted this audience? One of our partners suggested altering our opening hours to accommodate those people who work full time, for example, and cannot get into the office during ‘normal’ working hours. How are other firms overcoming this challenge?

Please send all responses to the editor at kclifton@ark-group.com, along with any other burning issues and questions that you would like to discuss.
